Clean Cornwall Workshop at Bude Junior School tomorrow!

We have some special guests coming to Bude Junior School tomorrow to complete a workshop with Years 3, 4 and 5. Clean Cornwall is a partnership of voluntary organisations, Cornwall Council, local businesses and the people of Cornwall. Our home is with Cornwall Rural Community Charity (CRCC). We are funded by Cornwall Council, The Hobson Charity Trust and through the support of local businesses.

Chaired by Peter Stewart MVO (Board Director of Eden Project ltd), our partnership is dedicated to reducing the visible presence and impact of litter, protecting our hugely diverse landscape and promoting the importance of keeping our county litter free and tidy.

Delia Webb is part of Cornish Plastic Pollution Coalition. This is a group of over 30 organisations, including Cornwall Wildlife Trust, Surfers Against Sewage, National Trust, focusing on plastic pollution in the marine environment.

Tomorrow’s sessions will provide the students with a basic awareness of the issue of global marine plastic pollution and an appreciation of the extent of litter and debris in our sea, and around our coastline. We hope that the pupils will then feed their learning through the other year groups throughout Bude Primary Federation.
